Gerri Hickman 1953-2005

Dedicated to the life and memory of Gerri Hickman. Loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend and teacher. Gerri was only 52 years old when she lost her 4 year battle with breast cancer on 9 April 2005. We miss her!

In 2009, Economist Intelligence Unit has ranked Singapore the 10th most expensive city in the world in which to live. It is the 3rd most expensive Asian city to live in, after Japanese cities Tokyo and Osaka. The population of Singapore is approximately 4.86 million. Singapore is highly cosmopolitan and diverse with Chinese people forming an ethnic majority with large populations of Malay, Indian and others. English, Malay, Tamil, and Chinese are the official languages.

Tibet Tibet is a plateau region in Asia, north of the Himalayas, and home to the indigenous Tibetan people. With an average elevation of 4,900 metres (16,000 ft), it is the highest region on Earth and referred to as the "Roof of the World". The atmosphere is severely dry 9 months of the year, and average annual snowfall is only 18 inches, due to the rain shadow effect (mountain ranges prevent moisture from the ocean from reaching the plateaus).
