Gerri Hickman 1953-2005

Dedicated to the life and memory of Gerri Hickman. Loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend and teacher. Gerri was only 52 years old when she lost her 4 year battle with breast cancer on 9 April 2005. We miss her!

In 2009, Economist Intelligence Unit has ranked Singapore the 10th most expensive city in the world in which to live. It is the 3rd most expensive Asian city to live in, after Japanese cities Tokyo and Osaka. The population of Singapore is approximately 4.86 million. Singapore is highly cosmopolitan and diverse with Chinese people forming an ethnic majority with large populations of Malay, Indian and others. English, Malay, Tamil, and Chinese are the official languages.

The Singapore American School Remembers Gerri

2005 the saddest year

2005 was a very hard year for the Hickman family. It is the year we lost Gerri to cancer. Gerri passed away on 9 April 2005 and was laid to rest at Green Hills Cemetery, Palos Verdes, California. Gerri's full head stone reads Gerri Hickman 8 Jan 1953 - 9 April 2005 - Beloved Wife, Mom, Daughter, Sister & Teacher. We miss her terribly and the only solace we have is that she is no longer in the pain she suffered through fighting cancer for over 4 years.
